The State of Tennessee does not mandate a debt limit for municipalities and the City has no debt limit in place at this time.

I just sent an email to people connected to the IDB and to the press telling them of the meeting:

To IDB members & Press:

I'm sure your wondering WHY your meeting are not attended by the press or public.
I think it's HOW they are put in the paper.

The Tennessean has a new editor and I will make sure SHE knows that:

The IDB is meeting on Wednesday the 25th of January & it concerns the NISSAN IDB debt.

It's important for transparency to happen in Tennessee and IDB board I know your proud of what you do so why have the meeting notices in such a "less" read part of the paper?

It's my goal for EVERYONE to know about government bonds.

Some people might not like ALL the tax money used for debt servicing and if they will have the opportunity to speak (if they know about the meeting) If they are listened to "maybe" the next generation living in Franklin will have "less" debt to deal with. Ya'll can thank me later.
